Job Title: Commercial Analyst Financial

As a key member of the Marks and Spencer team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of value for our business, building strong relationships with key partners, and owning your part in delivering exceptional supplier management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Supplier Relationship and Commercial Managers in the management of existing supplier contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring that any deviations from contractual obligations are raised appropriately for resolution.
  • Collaborate with the prime technology partner to populate and maintain key contract management artefacts, including the Contract Repository, Contract Renewal Tracker, Obligation Tracker, Commercial Risk & Issue Log, and Commercial Change Log.
  • Assess commercial risks and issues, and evaluate the impact of proposed contractual changes.
  • Coordinate contract variation, renewal, and termination activities, including collating partner feedback and presenting it back to suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain commercial and financial competence, with a strong understanding of business knowledge, economic, commercial, and political experience, as well as industry-specific knowledge to differentiate M&S from competitors.
Requirements:
  • Commercial and financial competence, with experience in commercial contract analysis.
  • Strong analytical mind, interpersonal skills, and leadership abilities, with a demonstrated ability to work in a hands-on finance, commercial, or procurement role.
  • Experience of supporting the implementation of sourcing strategies, with a focus on building diverse and representative teams.
