Position: Level 3 Nursery Educator at Leeds City Council.

Contract Type: Temporary, 1 Year.

Working Hours: 27.5 hours per week, 12pm – 6pm, Monday to Friday, during term time.

Salary: Grade 7 Scale Point 19-23, Actual Salary £18, £20,208.65 per annum (FTE £29,777 - £32,076) subject to pay award.

We are seeking a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Educator who will work closely with the Nursery Teacher to design and implement a well-rounded early years curriculum. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, safe, and inviting atmosphere for children, allowing them to grow at their own pace in line with the current Curriculum Development Framework.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certificate of the Nursery Nurse Examination Board (NNEB)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning & Development
  • CACHE Diploma
  • BTEC Diploma in Childcare
  • Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (Level 3)

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in supporting primary age children
  • Understanding of numeracy and literacy within the primary curriculum
  • Confidence in managing children’s behavior and ensuring their well-being
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and work collaboratively
  • Effective communication skills with pupils, colleagues, and visitors
