About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Chef to join our team at HC-One. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, healthy meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals to the highest standards, ensuring that all dishes are presented in a visually appealing way.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients to meet the needs of our residents.
  • Work collaboratively with our First Chef to ensure that the kitchen is running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Supervise and train junior staff members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • A minimum of an S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery.
  • A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a care home setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service.
