About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at NHS England. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational outcomes of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in our Supported Internship programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of bespoke Employability training and functional skills to interns
  • Assist in maintaining weekly individual records for each student that meet inspection requirements
  • Work closely with tutors to deliver SEN provision and support the development of social/emotional skills of students
  • Monitor progress of pupils and provide targeted support outside of the classroom
Requirements
  • Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Qualifications to include GCSE/Functional Skills in English Language, NVQ/QCF, ECDL or equivalent level of knowledge
  • Experience of working in a classroom supporting students with qualifications ranging from entry level 1 - level 2
  • Experience of working with students who have Special Educational Needs
  • Working knowledge of MS office packages
