Job Title: Senior Nurse - Paediatric Emergency Department

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is a community-focused provider of local and acute care, delivering high-quality services to over one million people living across the London boroughs of Lewisham, Greenwich, and Bexley.

About the Role

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with experience working in a paediatric emergency department to enhance their skills as a band 6 at LGT. The successful candidate will take charge in the busy Paediatric Emergency Department on a shift working long days and nights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in the delivery of care to children, young people, and their families in the emergency department setting.
  • Be accountable and responsible for providing a high standard of child and family-focused care.
  • Carry out care without direct supervision as part of the Emergency Department team and supervise juniors.
  • Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team contributing towards the effective running of the department.
Requirements
  • RN Child branch/ RSCN
  • Significant experience of working in an Emergency department environment
  • Plaster of Paris
  • ED/HDU course
