About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Statistician to join our Clinical Sciences team at Lstmed. As a Medical Statistician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our research partners by providing comprehensive statistical support, advising on study design, data analysis, and communicating findings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide statistical support to researchers, advising on study design, data analysis, and basic statistical methodology
  • Perform statistical analyses on project-generated data, and assist in communicating findings in peer-reviewed publications or reports
  • Support the development of trial protocols, design of case report forms, and databases in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and conduct of clinical trials and epidemiological studies in low-resource settings

Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree in medical statistics or biostatistics or equivalent
  • Experience of medical statistics in applied research and epidemiological research, such as performing sample size calculations, writing analysis plans, performing analyses, reporting and interpreting findings
  • Experience of clinical research
  • Knowledge of medical statistics and epidemiology
  • Statistical programming experience, for example, SAS/Stata/R
