Job Title: Senior Orthopaedic Fellow

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Orthopaedic Fellow to join our team at North Bristol NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Upper Limb service.

About the Role

The postholder will be involved in a busy Hand and Wrist service within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre. They will be expected to have some previous experience in Hand, wrist and elbow surgery and participate in the ongoing research and audit programmes of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our Upper Limb service
  • Participate in the ongoing research and audit programmes of the department
  • Contribute to the development of new treatments and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • FRCS (ORTH) or equivalent
  • Maintain full registration with the GMC
  • Recent experience and familiarity of UK hospital systems and practices (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of six years postgraduate experience including four years as an orthopaedic trainee in an approved training post, or equivalent
