Location Strategist

Job Summary:

The Location Strategist position is a critical role in supporting JD Sports' expansion into global markets. As a key member of the Location Strategy Data team, this role focuses on sourcing and deploying consumer, demographic, and market share data to inform investment assessments worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process various customer data sources to gain insights into market trends and consumer behavior.
• Develop and maintain geo-demographic and market demand databases to support business growth.
• Map consumer, competitor, and market share data to identify opportunities and challenges.
• Design and implement mapping capabilities using ArcGIS to visualize data and inform business decisions.
• Source new data products for analysis and expansion to stay ahead of the competition.
• Create rankings to prioritize new store locations based on market demand and consumer behavior.
• Analyze online sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
• Support the team with ad hoc analysis and fieldwork to ensure data-driven decision making.

Requirements:

• Degree in Geography, Economics, Business, or Data Science.
• Interest in consumer behavior and spatial data analysis.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis software.
• Experience with demographic data and analytical software.
• Strong communication skills and team player.
• Valid Passport.
