Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist Assistant to join our team at Psicon. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide high-quality clinical support to our Directors and clinicians, and contribute to the delivery of our clinical services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide effective clinical support to our Directors and clinicians, including undertaking assessments and providing psychological interventions.
  2. Contribute to the development and implementation of rehabilitation programmes, and work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  3. Undertake clinical psychometric and psychological testing, and provide reports to inform and enhance care delivered by the service.
  4. Liaise with external agencies, including schools, social workers, and parents, to ensure a collaborative approach to care.
  5. Conduct literature searches, collate audit and outcome evidence, and produce reports to inform and enhance care delivered by the service.
  6. Have a good understanding of risk assessments and safeguarding issues, and seek support from a qualified clinician if risk issues are identified.

Administrative Responsibilities

  1. Maintain high standards of clinical record keeping and report writing, and ensure compliance with BPS professional codes of practice.
  2. Collect and analyse data, and produce reports to inform and enhance care delivered by the service.
  3. Implement and maintain all relevant Service policies and procedures, and participate in internal and external CPD training as required.
  4. Participate fully in the Service's performance review and personal development planning process on an annual basis.

Requirements

  1. Chartered Psychologist status or equivalent.
  2. Experience of working in a clinical setting, with a strong understanding of clinical psychometric and psychological testing.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  4. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  5. Good understanding of risk assessments and safeguarding issues, and ability to seek support from a qualified clinician if risk issues are identified.
