Job Summary

Mitie Telecoms is a leading provider of acquisition, design, and construction (ADC) services, specialist managed services of temporary mobile infrastructure, and facilities maintenance for telecoms.

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Acquisition & Planning to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the team to achieve and deliver the Acquisition milestone targets as measured against client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage suppliers and lead a designated internal team to deliver all Acquisition milestones.
  • Ensure that the team identifies sites with the necessary legal, planning, and access rights to install new or upgraded radio equipment and accommodate third-party equipment requirements.
  • Negotiate consensual deals under the legislative backdrop of the New Telecommunication Code.
  • Provide clear instruction to project-specific delivery teams on what is required to be delivered.
  • Forecast and manage delivery profiles, highlighting potential risks to delivery and mitigating as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Acquisition Director and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in telecommunications site acquisition.
  • Knowledge and understanding of property/planning law in relation to telecommunications development.
  • Ability to work within site acquisition teams for individual site providers and multi-site providers.
  • Valid driving license with no more than 6 points.
