Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and professional Mechanical Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical principles and precision mechanisms, with a minimum of 4 years' hands-on experience as a time-served mechanical fitter.
Key Responsibilities- Complete mechanical assemblies in line with technical assembly drawings.
- Complete mechanical installations, documentation, permits, and equipment qualifications at customer sites.
- Ensure all work carried out meets customer specifications and standards.
- Mechanical fitting and assembly of mechanical components, including precision machined parts, bearings, lip & mechanical seals, belts, pulleys, motors & gearboxes.
- Minimum of 4 years' hands-on experience as a time-served mechanical fitter.
- Qualified to a minimum of Level 4 in a Mechanical discipline.
- Good understanding of mechanical principles and precision mechanisms.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings.
- Accuracy and attention to detail to produce a high standard of work.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to operate machine tools (Lathe, Milling Machine, etc.).
- Competitive base salary £34k (plus overtime) with an additional overnight rate bonus.
- 38-hour week over 4 days, Monday to Thursday.
- 20 days' holiday (increasing to 21.5 days after 5 years' service) plus statutory bank holidays.
