Job Title: English and Maths Tutor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced English and Maths Tutor to join our team at Protocol National Limited.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English and Maths lessons to students of varying abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that address the training needs of the group, including basic literacy, numeracy, language, and other social/employability barriers to employment.
  • Identify the individual needs of learners and create individual learning plans that link to their long-term employment goals.
  • Continuously review learner progression to ensure that the training continues to meet their identified needs.
  • Actively gain feedback from learners and other sources, reviewing and improving curriculum content accordingly.
  • Engage and motivate both individuals and learner groups to increase retention.
  • Complete all necessary administration, including registers, enrolment forms, ILPs, reviews, and Awarding Body documentation, in line with contractual deadlines.
  • Work with colleagues and hosts to assist learner progression towards qualifications and movement into employment.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree in English, Maths, Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with special educational needs students.
Working Conditions:
  • Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:45am - 5pm, Friday, 7:45am - 12:30pm.
  • Collaboration with other teachers and staff members.
  • Regular communication with parents and stakeholders.
