Job Summary
The Head of the Programme Management Office will play a pivotal role in establishing the overall leadership and management of the Programme Management Office function at Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This individual will be responsible for developing and delivering a robust programme and project management expertise, providing assurance and delivery to the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a robust programme and project management framework to ensure effective project delivery and assurance.
- Provide strategic coordination and prioritisation of individual corporate projects, ensuring alignment with the overall aims and vision of the trust.
- Lead and manage the Programme Management Office, ensuring the implementation of robust processes and appropriate project management methodologies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver trust-wide projects, ensuring implementation benefits are maximised and projects are delivered to time and within cost.
- Develop and maintain high-quality standards of leadership, project governance, and assurance in support of delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage resourcing of projects and priorities across the function, ensuring continuous improvement and effective project delivery.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to develop and implement robust programme and project management frameworks. They will have a strong understanding of project governance and assurance, as well as the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver trust-wide projects.
