Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Psychology graduates to join our team as Teaching Assistants, providing support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a Lewisham-based school.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support students with SEN in 1:1, group, or whole-class situations, ensuring their safety and access to learning.
  2. Assist in monitoring students' progress and provide feedback on their achievements, progress, and needs.
  3. Attend to students' personal needs where required.
  4. Participate in learning activities and teaching programs, adjusting activities to ensure achievement of learning goals.
  5. Assist with supervision of students out of lesson times, including playtimes and lunchtime duty.
Requirements:
  1. A graduate degree in a relevant field, with a 1:1 or 2:1 classification.
  2. Strong academic background through A-Level/BTEC's and GCSEs.
  3. Previous experience supporting children, preferably in a school-based setting.
  4. A hard-working nature, friendly, confident, and a willingness to learn and develop your career in a nurturing school environment.
Benefits:
  1. Long-term, full-time contract (5 days per week, Mon-Fri).
  2. Competitive daily rate of £105-£110.
  3. Working school hours, typically 8:30am - 4:00pm.
  4. Scope to progress to a permanent contract from September 2025.
