Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workshop Operative to join our team at our client's facility in Oxfordshire. As a Workshop Operative, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Picking and packing orders with precision and efficiency
- Arranging shipments using online courier portals to ensure timely delivery
- Unloading deliveries manually and by forklift/pallet truck, maintaining a safe and organized workspace
- Receipting deliveries on the internal computer system (SAP) to ensure accurate inventory management
- Unpacking deliveries and organizing stock in the appropriate location within the workshop, maintaining a clean and organized environment
- Stock management, including managing stock levels and placing orders with suppliers to meet business needs
- Cleaning the workshop and associated areas to maintain a tidy and presentable workspace
- Servicing, general repairs, and maintenance of hire fleet, with training provided to ensure proficiency
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Mechanical/Engineering experience, with a strong understanding of workshop operations
- Warehouse/Warehouse experience, with a focus on efficiency and productivity
- A forklift truck license, with training provided for those without
- Basic IT literacy, with proficiency in MS Office programs and Outlook
- A valid UK driving license, with a clean driving record
