Job Title: Waste Operative - Class 2 Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Waste Operative - Class 2 Driver to join our team at Toyota in Derby. As a key member of our waste management team, you will be responsible for safely processing incoming scrap material, collecting waste from various locations, and identifying risks to develop countermeasures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely process all incoming scrap material through a baler with the use of an overhead crane.
  • Collect scrap from various locations around the site using the hook lift truck.
  • Help to identify risks and develop countermeasures.
  • Daily recording of baler, plant, and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Previous compactor experience.
  • Ideal HGV Class 2 license (no need for CPC or Tacho as not on open roads).
  • Working Monday to Friday 06:00-14:18 to start, then rotating to AM shift one week, PM shift two weeks.
  • Experience on the use of hook lift truck (essential).
  • Strong communication and organization skills (essential).
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and organizational skills (essential).
  • A positive, 'can do', flexible approach, with the ability to work as part of a team (essential).
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards H&S (essential).
