About the Role
The Property Surveyor will deliver reliable and thorough stock condition data and asset management for Churchill Estates Management Ltd by performing surveys and generating inspection reports to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
This role will influence future asset management and maintenance strategies for our property portfolio, including Section 20 Major Works consultations and fire safety evaluations, ensuring our homeowners enjoy the highest standards of retirement living and safety.
Reporting to the Managing Surveyor, the Property Surveyor will collaborate with the property services team located in Ringwood, Hampshire. Therefore, flexibility to attend meetings and training sessions in Ringwood is essential, with travel and accommodation expenses covered in accordance with the expenses policy.
Your primary stakeholders will include the Property Services team, homeowners, Health & Safety Lead, Lodge Managers, and Regional and Area Management teams, with daily interactions involving contractors, suppliers, and landlords.
Due to the travel demands of the position, occasional overnight stays may be necessary, and all expenses will be reimbursed.
You will have the flexibility to work from home and on-site, with all necessary equipment provided, and will manage your own schedule on a daily basis.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 09:00 to 17:30 and Friday, 09:00 to 17:00.
About You
As a new Property Surveyor, you will possess a minimum of HNC or degree level education in a relevant construction or property discipline. Ideally, you will hold professional qualifications in RICS, CIOB, or ABE and be an existing CSCS card holder.
The Property Surveyor will have prior experience in the construction or property management sector, with a strong understanding of Health & Safety and Building Regulations. Familiarity with Fire Safety standards would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will exhibit excellent communication skills and be comfortable engaging with contractors, customers, homeowners, and internal stakeholders. You will be highly organized with a proactive and methodical work approach, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and possess a keen eye for detail along with a positive attitude.
Proficiency in IT is essential, particularly with MS Office applications including Outlook, Teams, and Word, enabling you to create specifications and survey reports effectively.
A valid UK driving licence is required.
