About the Role

We are seeking two qualified Pharmacy Dispensers to join our team at SWFT Clinical Services Ltd. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a crucial role in delivering a safe, effective, and caring service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake the day-to-day work of the Pharmacy, including ordering, receiving, checking off stock, and dispensing hospital, private prescriptions, and TTOs.
  • Hand out medicines, over-the-counter sales of medicines, and relevant retail sales in a healthcare environment.
  • Share in achieving professional best practice and KPI targets.
  • Minimize waiting time for patients without compromising accuracy.
  • Assure service quality and patient safety by following SOPs and Health and Safety policy.
  • Offer suggestions to improve the way we work, utilizing best practices.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships and good communications with patients and Trust employees.
  • Contribute to the teamwork ethic, enabling the best possible service and care to patients.
  • Ensure confidentiality of commercial and clinical information, adhering to GDPR and Freedom of Information legislation.
  • Complete stock control procedures and have a basic understanding of the robot functions.
  • Manage personal training and development.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities, and all other relevant legislation.
Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • Good communication with patients and colleagues.
    • Accurate dispensing while working under pressure.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience of over-the-counter sales of medicines.
    • Dispensing of UK hospital outpatient prescriptions.
Qualifications
  • Essential:
    • GCSE at C grade in Maths and English.
    • NVQ2 modules relevant to the role.
    • UK Pharmacy dispensing accreditation and experience.
  • Desirable:
    • GCSE at Grade C in a Science subject.
