About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Adult Care solicitor to join our team at Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council. As a key partner in our improvement journey, our Legal Service has received considerable investment and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement legal strategies to support the council's vision for the residents and communities of Rotherham.
  • Work closely with our team to provide an outstanding service and contribute to our goal of building a town where opportunity is extended to everyone.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on commercial property matters, including planning and highways law.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the council's objectives.
Requirements
  • Post-qualification experience as a Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive Advocate.
  • Experience in a local authority setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to develop and implement legal strategies and provide expert advice on commercial property matters.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
