Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Client Partner to join our team at Thomson LRC. As a key member of our Private Client team, you will be responsible for managing and supervising solicitors and support staff, while playing an active role in business development and driving growth in our expanding department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of solicitors and support staff to deliver high-quality private client services to clients.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and expansion in the Private Client team.
  • Provide expert legal advice to clients on a range of private client matters, including wills, powers of attorney, executries, trusts, estate planning, and cost of care advice.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and case law, and ensure that the team is equipped to provide the best possible service to clients.
  • Collaborate with other teams within the firm to identify opportunities for growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Scottish Qualified Lawyer with circa 10+ years of post-qualification experience and a strong background in Private Client Law.
  • Partner level experience, with a proven track record of success in managing teams and driving business growth.
  • STEP qualification is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
