Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Dietitian to lead our Haematology team and contribute to the development of our dietetic services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing expert nutritional advice and treatment to patients with Haematology conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the dietetic service for patients within the Haematology pathways, providing dietetic advice and treatment to a shared caseload of inpatients and outpatients.
  • Be involved in the planning and implementation of the CAR-T treatment pathway within the Haematology Dietetic service.
  • Train and educate Dietitians and the wider multidisciplinary team regarding CAR-T therapy and dietetic considerations.
  • Collaborate with consultants and specialist nurses to deliver high-quality nutritional care to patients.
  • Support operational leadership within the Haematology team to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
  • Promote and advance staff development and wellbeing, as well as provide expert knowledge and support for dietetic colleagues and the management team.

Requirements
  • HCPC registration
  • Diploma or degree in a relevant qualification
  • Wide-ranging and extensive experience of working within a specialist area
  • Experience of delegating to and supervising other members of the team
  • Able to make decisions about the treatment needs of highly complex patients
  • Lead on the development of improvements in service delivery and clinical practice using evidence-based practice to recommend changes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to plan the delivery of a service for a specialist area where there is variable capacity and fluctuating demand
  • Undertake out-of-hours duties as required
