Deloitte is proud to offer a unique opportunity for experienced professionals to join our Defence & Security team as a Senior Consultant. As a key member of our Major Programmes team, you will play a critical role in delivering large-scale transformation programmes for our Defence & Security clients.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Consultant. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing major programmes, including programme strategy and setup, programme/portfolio delivery, capability and digital transformation, and assurance reviews.
  • Contributing to client projects, including development of engagement plans, production of deliverables, change management activities, and workshop/meeting facilitation across a wide range of propositions.
  • Supporting progress reporting, risk management, and financial controls in relation to the programme or workstream.
  • Supporting the growth of client relationships, identifying new opportunities within both existing and new clients, and supporting proposals to win work.
  • Supporting the development of our propositions, solutions, and methods, and industry points of view.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Industry knowledge, trends, and insights in large-scale programmes, bringing lessons learnt and insights to clients and the wider Deloitte group.
  • Proven experience working in one or more areas within Defence, Security, and Justice.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering on projects associated with programmes through either working for an organisation operating in one of the above sectors, or for a management consulting or professional services firm.
  • Commercial awareness around infrastructure ownership and project delivery (e.g. supply chain challenges, risks, and controls, incentivisation) and engagement management (including bidding, performance management, etc.).
  • Ability to present to client/stakeholders at all levels in an organisation.
  • Problem-solving, attention to detail, creative thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams and fast-paced project environments.
  • Self-starting with a high degree of personal motivation and drive.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form lasting relationships with both team members and clients.
