About the Role

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Business Intelligence team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our databases, reports, and systems.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing robust software solutions for databases, reports, and websites, adhering to good practice and following the full development lifecycle. You will work closely with customers to build specifications and iterate through prototypes and developments on complex technical projects.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a degree-level education or equivalent, with experience of database systems, SQL Server, and a range of Business Intelligence technologies. You will also have excellent communication skills, good team leadership qualities, and excellent technical skills.

  • Analysis and interpretation of information and ability to translate into easily understood messages.
  • Knowledge in the advanced use of databases (data modelling, querying, administration, security)
  • Experience of working with colleagues from other disciplines and at different levels of seniority.
