Job Title: Risk & Controls Manager Finance & HR 12 month FTC

The Risk & Controls Manager (Finance & HR) FTC is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of risk management strategies and controls. This position will play a key part in leading the development and implementation of optimal risk management frameworks across our clients' core people processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate risk and control activities within the Finance and HR departments to ensure effective risk management.
  • Develop and maintain end-to-end Controls Frameworks for new processes and systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ownership and responsibility for updating and continuously improving Risk and Control Matricies (RACMs) to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Creating Control KPIs to monitor the control environment for end-to-end processes, providing insights for improvement.
  • Business Partnering with Global Process Owners, Process Teams, and Service Leads on changes to processes that impact the Controls Framework.
  • Collaboration with Internal and External Audit teams to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Review, monitoring, and management of second-line of defense assurance activities, including Key People Control self-assessment, Risk Management, IT Risk and Controls, Legal compliance, Fraud, Investigations, and Security.
  • Review, support, and deployment of design and operational effectiveness testing of key and non-key controls.
  • Support with documentation and preparation of Governance and Audit Committee reports on control design and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Controls, Compliance, and IT and Audit in an HR environment.
  • Reviewing and re-engineering procedures, formulating policy, process, controls, and compliance to ensure risk mitigation.
  • Providing technical guidance and delivering training to end-users.
  • Data interrogation to identify issues, errors, and fraud.
  • Performing and leading investigations where required and facilitating/implementing key actions.
  • Expert knowledge of good practice payroll and related HR processes in a large, complex organization.
  • Internal controls documentation, implementation, and improvement.
  • IT Auditing and Sox Framework.
