Job Title: Senior Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) team at the Deutsche Bundesbank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating a DLT platform in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement a DLT platform in cloud environments (private, hybrid, public)
  • Shape the infrastructure of our DLT solutions through in-depth understanding of system architecture and network protocols
  • Apply security best practices for identifying and modeling critical security risks
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the DLT industry and initiate further training measures for yourself and your colleagues
Requirements:
  • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, software engineering)
  • Several years of experience in building distributed and resilient systems with a deep understanding of system design concepts and architectures
  • Several years of experience in the development and deployment of EVM architectures
  • Very good knowledge of Solidity or other EVM-related programming languages
  • Experience with web applications/services and backend APIs concepts
  • Basic experience in DevOps, DevSecOps would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Web3 technologies such as tokenization, custody, data indexers, dApps, cross-chain bridging, oracles, rollups with ZKP cryptography or confidential computing
  • Experience in working on open source projects would be an advantage
  • Ability to work in a team in an agile environment, ability to prepare information for stakeholders from different areas and levels of expertise in a manner appropriate to the target group
  • Good written and spoken German and very good English skills, at least basic knowledge of German and willingness to expand this knowledge
