Job Title: Residential Deputy Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Residential Deputy Manager to join our team at Bay View. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our children's home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Registered Manager in the leadership and management of the home, ensuring that the National Standards are consistently exceeded.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the lives of the young people in our care, promoting their social, emotional, and behavioral development.
  • Build and maintain a culture of trust and respect among staff, children, and stakeholders, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Manage staff fairly and professionally, promoting a culture of excellence and minimizing staff turnover.
Performance Standards:
  • Care plans are developed and implemented in accordance with pre-agreed standards, reviewed regularly, and submitted to the Registered Manager for approval.
  • All legal requirements, Ofsted standards, and Bay View policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Staff are approachable, friendly, and professional, engaging with children and creating a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Staff work proactively with children, building relationships, and promoting their quality of life and future success.
  • The Deputy Manager is aware of their responsibilities regarding the rota, sleeping duties, and on-call arrangements, and complies with them at all times.
