Job Title: Lead Financial Accounting Manager
About the Role:
This is a highly visible position that will enable the successful candidate to take ownership of our IFRS 16 reporting and shape this exciting project. As a key member of the Financial Accounting Function, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting services through efficient processes and effective management of external service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting into the Senior Accounting Manager, you will lead a team of 4 that looks after the accounting for the shared network with Shareholder and Retail estate, both administered by external service providers and report under IFRS 16 and IAS 17.
- You will be responsible for reviewing and challenging the monthly reports from Partners and reconciling the data back to our General Ledger, ensuring consistency between the GL and IFRS 16 database.
- You will work closely with the Finance Business Partners to ensure they provide the correct information on a timely basis, helping them interpret the reporting on a monthly basis and assist in preparing the quarterly and annual forecast.
- You will build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including T&O Finance, FP&A, Financial Reporting team, and finance business partners.
- You will support the Finance Business Partners on the interpretation of their IFRS16 outputs from Partners and submit the right information.
- You will reconcile our General Ledger to outputs and roll forward of Right of Use Asset accounts and Lease Liability accounts.
- You will provide the appropriate information required by the Financial Reporting team for cash flow/working capital/balance sheet reporting and coordination of forecasting & budgeting activity, FP&A, and FBPs.
- You will be responsible for audit deliverables, requests, and queries associated with IFRS16.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant - ACA ACCA
- Extensive experience providing expert financial competence.
- Ability to use comprehensive knowledge and skills to act independently on supporting business decisions with professional interpretations of financial information.

- Process Management - Ability to spot opportunities to continuously improve and streamline processes.
