About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at Egis Road Operation UK Ltd, supporting the Project Management of M25 Highways schemes on behalf of the client (Connect Plus/National Highways). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a number of projects at different stages of the project lifecycle, from design inception to close out.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: End-to-end management of projects, including scheme development and engagement with stakeholders, asset teams, designers, sub-consultants, construction teams, and contractors.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders, including planners, construction managers, project QS, asset managers, and designers.
  • Programme Management: Management of the P6 programme with the planning team, including identification of critical path activities.
  • Commercial Management: Commercial management of projects, including cost planning, supply chain quotations, review and approval of invoices, forecasting, and review of applications with the commercial team.
  • Resource Management: Commission and manage internal and external resources in terms of quality, budget, and programme.
  • Gateway Management: Lead on gateways and collaborative cost reviews with the client and project team.
  • Reporting: Routine reporting on project schedule/progress, risk, and commercial status of the project internally and to the client.
Requirements
  • Project Management Experience: Proven experience in project management, preferably supported by a recognised project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 or APMP.
  • Qualifications: Preference for a minimum degree qualification and membership of an appropriate professional institution or working towards such qualification.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Broad skills, knowledge, and understanding of highway or structures engineering and associated design areas, including knowledge of CDM and other H&S and environmental legislation related to highway engineering.
  • Contract Knowledge: Knowledge of the NEC (New Engineering Contract) and other relevant forms of contract.
