Business Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Architect to join our team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a Business Architect, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our organization by developing and implementing business architecture principles and strategies.
Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with our Digital Enterprise Architecture Centre of Excellence to ensure alignment of modern business capabilities and processes with our Digital Strategy and Vision. You will be responsible for transformation initiatives and oversight of critical deliverables, such as quantified business capabilities, value streams, and patient/user journeys.
As a Business Architect, you will assume a leadership role in two ways. Firstly, you will develop holistic, multi-dimensional business architectures to achieve goals, and secondly, you will lead the day-to-day management, guidance, and maturation of a team of Business Analysts to ensure traceability between business architecture products and associated business processes/requirements to be delivered as operational solutions.
- Undertake business architecture design work using best practice tools and techniques to define capabilities and processes, using prototyping (where appropriate) to elaborate requirements and demonstrate the feasibility and potential benefits of applying a particular technology to meet a business need.
- Act as a strategic advocate for the business, ensuring that digital provision meets the strategic objectives of the organization and satisfies requirements.
- Provide expert opinion to IT forums in relation to Digital Demand items and Projects, applying expertise to articulate requests, drivers, and potential solutions.
- Analyze and articulate complex business and digital problems clearly, identifying the maturity and key objectives of each capability/process and alignment to existing digital capabilities.

Person Specification- IIBA, Business Architecture Guild membership
- Educated to Master's degree level or equivalent or ability to demonstrate equivalent
- Relevant foundation level business analysis qualification, e.g., Agile Business Analysis Foundation or BCS Foundation
- Evidence of continual professional development
- Foundation Qualification in Change Management
- Foundation Qualification in Project Management
- ITIL Foundation Qualification
- Extensive experience working as a Senior Business Analyst or Business Architect, preferably in a Healthcare setting
- Proven experience of contributing to and developing Business/Enterprise Architecture principles
- Comprehensive systems thinking and analysis skills gained in a healthcare or similar environment
- Proven IT Business or Enterprise Architecture skills working on multiple or concurrent initiatives
- Leadership/senior experience of managing complex organizational change and the transformation of business processes
- Experienced manager, leader, coach, and mentor in the business analysis field
- Good knowledge of patient management systems, NHS working practice, and National NHS developments
- Knowledge of process automation tools, RPA, process mining, and hyper-automation approaches
