Job Opportunity: Building Control Surveyor

We are partnering with a leading surveying firm in South East London/Kent to recruit a Building Control Surveyor for a permanent position.

This is a full-time role with a salary band of £50,000 – £70,000 (dependent on experience) and the start date is subject to notice.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking 'plan check' work on refurbishment and new build projects, including low and high rise buildings
  • Providing expert knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 to ensure accurate recommendations during the construction process
  • Collaborating with clients and identifying business development opportunities

Requirements:

  • Experience with the Building Safety Act 2022
  • Proven track record in plan checks of designs

Desirable skills and qualifications:

  • RICS membership

Benefits and working arrangements:

  • Hybrid working with 3 days from home
  • Flexible working days

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
