Job Description:

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Hydrogeologist to join our client, a leading Environmental Consultancy, in Shrewsbury. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing projects and providing expert advice on hydrogeological risk assessments, groundwater monitoring, and geothermal projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site visits, including soil sampling and borehole logging
  • Complete technical work, including hydrogeological risk assessments, water resource assessments, and groundwater modeling using Modflow
  • Develop and implement groundwater monitoring plans and surface water management plans
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
Requirements:
  • BSc and MSc in Hydrogeology or a related field
  • Proven experience working in environmental consultancy, completing hydrogeological risk assessments, and groundwater monitoring
  • Strong understanding of groundwater modeling and surface water management
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
