Job Description

**Job Title:** Geotechnical Engineer - Site Based

**Job Type:** Full-time, Contract

**Company:** Blueprint Recruitment Solutions Ltd

**Location:** Hertfordshire

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our client's multidisciplinary engineering consultancy on a long-term contract basis. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on the UK's largest rail project, HS2.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design foundations that retain structures and earthworks
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and other professionals involved in the site
  • Maintain safety standards on site
  • Make recommendations that are efficient and cost-effective
  • Investigate risks or geological hazards for the site
  • Liaise with a variety of stakeholders and site professionals
Key Requirements:
  • Extensive technical design experience within a Geotechnical environment
  • Previous experience with construction site support
  • Previous experience using Plaxis, Oasys, and Wallap would be preferred
  • Ability to address contractor queries
  • Able to represent the designers
  • Previous HS2 experience is a desirable but not essential
