Position Title:
Engineering Project Lead – Materials Technology (Metallurgy)

In this role, you will oversee a highly skilled team comprising metallurgists, non-metallic materials experts, and welding engineers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that technical guidance within the team meets established standards.

Collaboration is key, as you will engage with various stakeholders, including industry partners and governmental bodies. You will also play a crucial role in managing the Materials, Corrosion, and Welding authorities, contributing to the development of Defence Standards.

This position offers the chance to lead the peer review process for departmental outputs, enhancing the quality and integrity of our work.

Required Qualifications:
- A degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or Welding.
- Experience in research and development initiatives or project management.
- Familiarity with UKAS laboratory environments.
- Chartered status or evidence of progress towards it.
