Lead Project Engineer

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of onsite project requirements, from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and grow a team of project/design engineers to ensure effective project execution on site
- Survey site conditions and produce accurate drawings of design solutions, following through manufacture, installation, and commissioning
- Support the technical office with construction drawings and manage and update drawings of current plants and processes
- Identify solutions to plant issues to improve equipment/process safety, efficiency, and reliability
- Manage relationships and coordinate with consultants, vendors, clients, contractors, services providers, site-based/group engineering team, and production team
- Chair and facilitate meetings and assist with general duties associated with a busy expanding production site
- Contribute towards site SHE objectives and undertake other duties as reasonably requested
- Degree-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Proficient with AutoCAD 2D and 3D package and experience with Inventor would be advantageous
- Proven experience of leading and growing a successful project engineering department and managing multiple projects across production/manufacturing sites
- Strong management of drawing revisions and issues, flexibility, and adaptability, with a hands-on approach to work
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed, with very strong collaborative skills
