This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Protective Care Group as a Support Worker. We are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for the children and young people in our care.
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping our young people to build a positive and fulfilling life. You will work closely with our team to provide individualised support and care, helping our young people to develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality care and support to our young people, including assistance with daily living tasks and emotional support.
- Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualised care plans, ensuring the needs of our young people are met.
- Support our young people to engage in activities and hobbies that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
- Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, adhering to our safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- You will be placed in a team anywhere within the North East of England, requiring flexibility in travel and staying away from home.
- We adopt a flexible approach to working, with shifts typically following a 4 on, 4 off pattern, including 12 hour day and 12 hour waking night shifts.
- A Level 3 qualification in Child and Residential care (or a suitable alternative) is desirable, but we will support you in obtaining this if you do not already hold it.
- An understanding of trauma and its effects on behaviour is an advantage, but training will be provided.
- Full right to work in the UK and a valid UK manual driving license are essential.

- Remuneration - a competitive basic salary of £32,000, plus uplifts for each shift worked with a young person and for sleeping nights.
