About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Keyworker to join our team at Barnardo's. As a Keyworker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism who require complex care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism, focusing on their individual needs and goals.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each individual.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children and young people, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with Barnardo's values and standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection.
