This position is primarily focused on servicing and maintaining electrical systems in various industrial environments.

With over two decades of expertise in the maintenance of natural gas Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems, the company has recently expanded its offerings to include innovative technologies in the renewable energy sector, delivering services to manufacturers of biogas purification and treatment systems. Their expertise extends to ancillary equipment such as compressors, motors, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and electrical systems.

Are You the Ideal Candidate?

  • ONC / HNC in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred
  • COMPEX 1-4 certification is a plus; mechanical experience is beneficial
  • A valid driving license is mandatory
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated experience as an Industrial Electrical Technician or in a similar capacity
  • Preferred electrical qualifications
  • Familiarity with industrial electrical systems, including wiring, motors, transformers, and control systems
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities
  • Solid understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards

Your Responsibilities as an Electrical Service Technician:

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, including those related to motors, generators, and control systems
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems and equipment in industrial settings
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems to ensure peak performance
  • Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for installations and repairs
  • Collaborate with engineers and team members to devise effective electrical solutions
  • Perform electrical inspections and tests to identify potential hazards and suggest enhancements
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials utilized, and maintenance schedules
  • Participate in the on-call rotation as required
  • Occasional travel within the UK and opportunities for international assignments
