Leader Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school in South Tyneside.

The school offers a supportive and educational environment for pupils aged 2-19, with many pupils having complex or profound needs, including severe learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pupils in lessons and activities, providing individualized support to meet their diverse needs.
  • Work effectively with parents, carers, and other members of multidisciplinary teams to provide the best support for students.
  • Be flexible and resilient, adapting to the changing needs of students and the school environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, using personalized communication strategies to suit different abilities.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting the well-being and achievement of all students.
