Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative for a prominent engineering client associated with TXM Recruit.

Contract Details
This position is a 6-month contract with the potential for extension, offering a competitive hourly rate of £27 (outside IR35).

Working Hours
The role involves working Permanent Nights on a 36-hour week, with a shift pattern covering 7 days.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately record incoming goods in the inventory management system, ensuring proper packaging and dispatch in line with established protocols.
  • Manage the booking of goods for dispatch or internal use.
  • Efficiently pick items according to the provided picking list.
  • Identify and report any shortages to the purchasing or production control teams.
  • Verify the accuracy of accompanying documentation.
  • Conduct data entry for inventory transactions within the computer system.
  • Perform cycle counts of inventory items.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles using a forklift truck.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to quality and health and safety standards.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Valid forklift license is essential for both Counterbalance and Reach (refresher training can be provided).
  • Experience with inventory management systems and data entry is required.
  • Ability to work independently and with precision.
  • Previous experience in logistics is preferred.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a Medical and Drug & Alcohol screening prior to starting the role.
