About the Role:
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational management of a prestigious college in southeast England. As the Interim Director of Operations and Facilities, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of service delivery across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operational management of the college, ensuring a high standard of service delivery across multiple sites.
- Lead and inspire a diverse team of around 100 staff, ensuring consistent excellence in service across all areas.
- Oversee the management of residential and academic spaces, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
- Manage catering, conference, and hospitality services, delivering exceptional experiences for students, staff, and visitors.
- Drive the growth and profitability of the college's conference and events business, while maintaining strong relationships with key clients.
- Ensure the security and maintenance of the college estate, working closely with the Buildings and Maintenance Manager on projects and upkeep.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative colleagues to support student welfare, discipline, and the overall educational mission of the college.
Requirements:
- A solid understanding of contemporary employment legislation, catering accounting, and food hygiene standards.
- Experience in facilities and people management.
- A confident, results-driven professional with a passion for creating a positive academic and working environment.
