About the Role:

Solutions Driven is a leading provider of innovative laser systems to help people in various global markets, including but not limited to renewables, microelectronics, research, life science, automotive, and medicine.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at our Scotland site. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for the electronics from design to production release and support of our cutting-edge laser systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing electronic circuits and assemblies from concept to production release and maintenance.
  • Debugging, simulation, and validation of electronic and system designs.
  • Reliability and regulatory testing of products.
  • Transferring design data sets to production for manufacturing and support during product lifecycle.
  • Occasional UK and international travel.

Requirements:

  • Education to a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject with demonstrable experience in board-level design and mixed-signal electronics.
  • Experience in microcontroller/mixed digital/analogue electronic circuit design.
  • A good understanding of product design from specification through to delivery.
  • Practical experience in Schematics Capture and PCB Design Tools.
  • Good prototyping skills and soldering with SMT components.
  • Excellent debugging skills and ability to integrate and validate electronic and system designs.
  • Graduate calibre, able to work in a team environment and with minimum supervision.
