Role Overview:
The Mobile Equipment Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for preparing vehicles for inspections, conducting routine maintenance, diagnosing issues, and executing repairs on various machinery and vehicles essential to the steel industry. This position demands a solid foundation in engineering principles and the capability to deliver mechanical and basic electrical maintenance services.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an apprenticeship or BTEC NVQ Level 3 with at least 2 years of experience in vehicle maintenance
- Knowledge of safe operational procedures and adherence to safety regulations
- Self-driven and adaptable with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service
- Methodical approach to work, strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, decision-making skills, and effective communication
- A valid driving license is essential
- Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
Work Schedule:
Standard hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with alternate weekend shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and a midweek day off.
