Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring teaching assistant to support children with special educational needs in our early years setting. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our experienced staff to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment for children to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Support children with their individual learning needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.

Work collaboratively with our teaching staff to develop and implement tailored support plans for children with SEND.

Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting social skills and relationships among children.

Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting children with SEND.

Requirements

Experience of working with preschool and/or reception-aged children.

Understanding of the importance of inclusion for all children.

Desirable: recognized TA qualification, such as NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.

A flexible and patient approach, with a non-judgmental attitude and a commitment to supporting children's individual needs.
