Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Food Service Assistant to join our team at Munster Barracks. As a Food Service Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our food service facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring high-quality dishes are prepared to meet customer expectations.
- Serve food and beverages to customers, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
- Operate tills and handle cash, maintaining accurate records and ensuring a secure environment.
- Clean back of house areas, crockery, and cutlery, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
- Clean and tidy counter, light equipment/machines, preparation, and public areas, ensuring a safe and welcoming space for customers.
- Perform basic cold food preparation and made-to-order services, meeting customer demands and expectations.
- Restock goods and ensure appropriate displays of merchandise, maintaining a well-stocked and visually appealing environment.
- Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards identified during the course of the work, ensuring a safe and efficient operation.
- Perform daily paperwork, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Follow food hygiene and safety procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers and colleagues.
Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and have resided for the past 3 years.
- Previous experience would be an advantage, but on-the-job training will be provided.
- DBS check required.
