Electrical Engineer - Didcot, Oxfordshire

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team in Didcot, Oxfordshire. As a key member of our electrical team, you will be responsible for performing planned and reactive maintenance across various buildings within our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance across various buildings within our portfolio.
  • Inspect and test electrical equipment, including emergency lights, PAT testing, RCD testing, and installation or repair of equipment such as lamps and sockets.
  • Work collaboratively with other trades, as needed, to ensure effective maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and suppliers, demonstrating strong written and verbal skills.

Requirements:

  • Strong adherence to Health and Safety legislation and current good practices.
  • Experience with access equipment, commercial and industrial installations, and testing and inspection.
  • Proficiency in testing and inspection, holding a relevant certification.
  • Familiarity with the latest wiring regulations and competence in completing certificates.
  • Flexibility to assist with minor building repairs, general maintenance, and contractor escort duties.
  • Ability to operate in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills are desirable.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.
  • Diligent, professional, and intuitive approach to work.
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks and use electrical PPE as required.

Person Specification:

  • Relevant certification in electrical installation.
  • Qualifications in Electrotechnical Services - Electrical Installation.
  • Previous experience in a commercial maintenance environment.
  • Flexibility to undertake tasks beyond specific trade duties.
  • Valid full driving license.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Specialist safety training will be provided.
