We are seeking a skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at the Kootenay Lake Hospital Diabetes Center in Nelson, B.C. and the Castlegar District Hospital Diabetes Center in Castlegar.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing nutritional care and support to clients living with all types of diabetes. This includes:

  • Nutritional assessment and care planning
  • Intervention, client goal setting, and monitoring
  • Counseling and education programs for patients/clients
  • Orientation, guidance, and sharing of collegial information or demonstration of equipment or work processes to others
Key Responsibilities:

The Clinical Dietitian will:

  • Provide input on Regional, Provincial, and local diabetes services by participating in the development of nutritional practice guidelines and procedures
  • Participate in research and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the program
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to clients
