Fessey House Overview

Fessey House is a modern care facility designed to provide a supportive living atmosphere for older adults, particularly those aged 65 and above with cognitive impairments such as dementia. Our establishment features 68 beds across six specially designed units, each equipped with a kitchen, lounge, and dining area, promoting a homely and comfortable environment.

We take pride in our expansive landscaped gardens and communal activity spaces, allowing residents to engage in various activities and enjoy their surroundings.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in our dedicated team, offering practical, emotional, and physical support to older individuals living with dementia. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in the assessment and care planning process.
  • Continuously evaluating the needs of our residents and monitoring their individual care plans.
  • Administering prescribed medications as required.

We emphasize a person-centered approach, ensuring that both our residents and their families receive the support they need.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must adhere to Health & Safety regulations and organizational policies regarding Manual Handling, COSHH, Food Hygiene, Fire Safety, First Aid, and Accident/Incident reporting. Comprehensive training will be provided to help you thrive in your position.

Fluency in English is essential for effective communication in this customer-facing role.

Working Hours

We offer a variety of shift patterns, including early shifts starting at 8:00 AM, late shifts finishing at 9:30 PM, and night shifts from 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM, on a rotating two-week schedule with a requirement to work every other weekend.
