Job Description

**Job Summary**

Brandon Hire Station is seeking a skilled Fitter to join our operational branch team. As a Fitter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our vast catalogue of rental equipment, ensuring it is in top condition for our customers.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Equipment Maintenance**: Ensure all rental equipment is safely maintained and repaired to meet the highest standards.
  • **Proactive Approach**: Take a proactive approach to ensuring equipment is available for hire, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
  • **On-Site Repairs**: Attend equipment breakdowns at customer sites as required, providing prompt and effective solutions.
  • **Record Keeping**: Ensure all records are completed accurately and in line with company procedures, maintaining high levels of data integrity.
  • **Health and Safety**: Adhere to H&S rules and procedures at all times, prioritizing the safety of our customers and staff.
  • **Data Management**: Manage and record data, including time allocation and spares used, stock needed, and other relevant information.
  • **Stock Takes**: Assist with and attend stock takes as required, ensuring accurate inventory levels.
  • **Additional Duties**: Cover the counter, deliveries, and collections when essential to business demands, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

**Requirements**

  • **Mechanical and Electrical Experience**: Experience working with machinery and tools, both mechanical and electrical, is essential.
  • **Organizational Skills**: Demonstrate an organized and methodical approach to work, taking pride in delivery and meeting deadlines.
  • **Customer Service**: Provide professional customer service skills, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • **IT Proficiency**: Be comfortable using IT equipment and software, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • **Team Player**: Demonstrate a 'can-do' attitude, willing to help in other areas of the branch and contribute to the team's success.
  • **Qualifications**: Mechanical or electrical qualifications are desirable but not essential.
  • **Driving License**: A valid driving license is desirable but not essential.
