We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team within Lovell's North East region.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the financial cost control and reporting of one or more developments from the Award up to and including completion of client and sub-contract final accounts, recovery / discharge of all retentions.

As a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will possess a formal qualification such as HNC in a relevant subject, with previous substantial quantity surveying experience within the construction industry. You will have a strong understanding of client-driven projects, particularly in housebuilding, and hold a valid CSCS Card, which is essential to the role.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Financial cost control and reporting of developments
  • Recovery and discharge of retentions
  • Liaising with clients and subcontractors
  • Managing teams and demonstrating strong leadership skills

As an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be able to:

  • Make informed decisions and take ownership of projects
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Develop and implement effective cost control strategies
