About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Consultant to join our Risk Transfer team at The Actuary Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading wind up projects, working with clients to deliver advice and solutions, and developing relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead wind up projects, including planning, execution, and delivery of advice and solutions to clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, trustees, and other professionals.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients on pension risk transfer and wind up matters.
  • Collaborate with other team members to deliver high-quality advice and solutions to clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in pensions law and practice, and apply this knowledge to client work.
Requirements
  • Professional qualification in pensions (e.g. APMI, AFPC or IFoA).
  • Experience in consulting with pension schemes, either in Trustee Executive, actuarial or scheme management roles.
  • Strong understanding of the legislative framework for UK pension schemes, including disclosure requirements and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deal with ambiguity and rapid change.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to work with senior stakeholders.
